It led, eventually, to formal WSET training, to thousands of tasting notes, to years of building relationships with the families behind the labels, and to the conviction that these wines needed a dedicated voice.

I arrived in Sicily the way many people do — drawn by the light, the architecture, and the food. I stayed because of the wine. Specifically, because of the first glass of Nerello Mascalese I tasted on the northern slope of Etna: a wine of such unexpected elegance, such haunting mineral depth, that it permanently altered my understanding of what wine could be.

Vulcano Wines was born from a conviction: that these exceptional wines deserve to be understood, celebrated, and shared. As a certified WSET sommelier based in Catania, I offer private wine tastings, curated food and wine pairing experiences, and guided tours of Sicily's most compelling wine regions - from volcanic slopes of Etna to the sun-drenched vineyards of Pantelleria.
