A guided tasting like no other.
This is where the Vulcano Wine experience begins. Over two hours, we explore a curated selection of six to eight volcanic wines — drawn from the slopes of Etna, the terraced vineyards of Pantelleria, and other extraordinary volcanic terroirs of Sicily. Each wine is presented in its geological and historical context, tasted using the systematic approach of the WSET methodology, and paired with a selection of Sicilian artisan produce.
You will leave with a new vocabulary for volcanic wines, a deeper understanding of what makes Nerello Mascalese and Carricante truly exceptional, and — inevitably — a few bottles you cannot wait to share.

Where Sicilian cuisine meets volcanic terroir
Sicily has one of the world's great culinary traditions. Its volcanic wines were born in the same landscape, from the same mineral richness, and carry the same intensity of flavour. The Pairing Table brings them together in an evening designed around discovery, pleasure, and the alchemy of perfect accord.
Each course is conceived as a dialogue between food and wine — from the saline freshness of a Carricante Etna Bianco with raw Sicilian red prawns, to the structured depth of a Nerello Mascalese alongside slow-braised pork from the Nebrodi Mountains, to the golden sweetness of a Passito di Pantelleria with almond pastries from Noto.

A full-day private journey through the contrade of Mount Etna — those ancient lava-carved districts that give each wine its unique signature. From the northern slopes of Passopisciaro and Solicchiata, where the altitude and black soil produce wines of haunting finesse, to the eastern flank of Milo, where the finest Carricante whites emerge, each stop reveals a new facet of this extraordinary mountain.
We visit two to three estate wineries with private cellar access, taste directly from barrel where possible, and share a long Sicilian lunch in the vines. Your sommelier guide provides context that no travel guide can offer — the history of the ungrafted pre-phylloxera vines, the geology of each contrada, and the stories behind the producers who are redefining Italian fine wine.
